JPG edited in Camera Raw

Ever wish you would have taken an image as a RAW file instead of a JPG? Don't worry, you still can edit it as a raw image. You won't get 100% effects as you would for a true RAW image, but you will have the ease at editing a standard jpg with the tools you know and love. The above image was way out of balance due to the lighting in the room and the orange decor, but thankfully in RAW EDITOR I can turn down the yellow saturation and darken the luminance of the orange to give more contrast. And for myself, on non-human portraits, I usually like to turn up the clarity to define the landscape or object. Much better, huh?

To edit a jpg in raw editor in photoshop, you can do it two different ways. In Bridge, right-click on the image and select Open in Camera Raw. In Photoshop, select File Open As and then find your image, but make sure the Open As menu below says Camera Raw not Photoshop, which is the default. This easily little fix has saved me a lot of headache on editing files before I took in RAW mode. Of course, don't use this as your standby...taking in RAW is always better quality and provides more options versus jpg.
